WebProxy Port Forwarding

Proxies HTTP and WebSocket traffic from your browser to any service running on localhost of the remote client.

Opening a Proxy

1. Open ⊕ Tab → WebProxy or press Alt+W.
2. Enter the local address and port on the remote machine (e.g. localhost:3000).
3. The remote service opens as a live web page inside the tab.

Proxied requests are routed through:

http://your-server:8080/proxy/{session_id}/{port}/

Limitations

Note

• Only HTTP / WebSocket traffic is supported — not raw TCP.
• The target service must be bound to localhost (not 0.0.0.0) on the client.
• Some applications that validate the Host header strictly may not render correctly through the proxy.
